• anyone can be a celebrity as long as there is a market and demand for them.

• Nagsasabing baliw o may depektong hormonal ang mga lesbiyana kaya nagbunsod ito ng aktibong adbokasi pagsapit ng dekada ‘70 upang igiit ang kanilang politikal na identidad sa pampublikong espasyo (Stein; binanggit ni Goodloe 2).

Main idea:  The ARs or Annual Report of a company serves as its autobiography that communicates to the public its performance, achievements and failures.
Evidence that supports the main ideas:
• However, others argue that the AR’s narrative section is more important than the financial reports it precedes, because it provides.
• While the AR is still primarily designed for current and prospective investors (David), it now also has to communicate the company and its previous year to employees (Anderson and Imperia), customers, and other stakeholders (Hutt;Tewari) context to the presented data (Penrose).

Main idea: Carlos “Botong” Francisco is a known painter and National artist; however, he is also known for his historical work that are based on researched contexts.
Evidence that supports the main idea:

As can be deducted from the four articles, the role of communication in humanities is highly crucial in order to achieve meaningful changes in our fast growing world.  The Annual Report, for instance, of the ABS-CBN can serve as a medium where the public will understand the internal dynamics of this giant organization.  Communication also plays a key role in advocating for legal protection for lesbians who are yet to be fully recognized and respected by our society and culture. The same holds true with religious personalities who have effectively used communications as a tool to reach out to a wider audience. Also, the National Artist, Carlos Francisco has used his art to communicate its meaning. The connection of these articles is that they fall under the field of humanities and use communication as a medium to convey what they what to express. These pieces of information can be helpful in our lives for they enrich our ideas with necessary and vital news, issues and information. Also, it is helpful for the people who are interested in the field of humanities because these information gathered are what they will encounter in the future.

Contemporary Art in My Community This photo is a mural painting found in the streets outside a  psychi atric hospital in Davao City. Despite the eeriness and the condition of the institution, its gated walls are filled with colorful paintings such as this. Matters about mental health problems are addressed in a colorful and accepting way. Concerns about mental wellness are articulated through this painting and used the medium of contemporary art. Looking at the artwork, it poses questions about the stigma of mental health issues.
