Virtual reality is a current trend in the digital world. It is a computer-generated experience where a person can interact within a simulated environment. It create s a three-dimensional image that is either similar to reality or fantastical. Moreover, it incorporates the user’s sensory feedback inside the experience. As of today, virtual reality is used in gaming and 3D cinema. People are fond of the technology because it creates a surrealism sensation when interacting with an artificial world. This technology will influence the future trend of Media and Information Literacy because it is immersive and innovative. Virtual reality immerses the generation to appreciate phenomenalism and creativity. Through this technology, dreams and imaginations become possible because of three-dimensional generated images. Contemporary Art in My Community This photo is a mural painting found in the streets outside a  psychi atric hospital in Davao City. Despite the eeriness and the condition of the institution, its gated walls are filled with colorful paintings such as this. Matters about mental health problems are addressed in a colorful and accepting way. Concerns about mental wellness are articulated through this painting and used the medium of contemporary art. Looking at the artwork, it poses questions about the stigma of mental health issues. Traditional musical instruments of Mindanao are displayed to convey an awareness of local heritage. This contemporary art is a birthright.
